Kurt Cobain Vandalism Stratocaster Replica (Fender Japan, Squier Partscaster) Seymour Duncan Vintage

This is a replica of Kurt Cobain's Vandalism Stratocaster, as it was on Halloween 1991. Aging/relicing to match the original guitar.

Origins of body are unknown, full size, with a good weight to it. There's some stampings in the neck pocket which I've pictured. Seems to have Mexico Spec Fender routes from the look of it. You can see some light checking marks on the paint, evident of the age.

The neck is a stripped Japan (Fujigen factory?) St-62 style neck, I have applied a thin oil finish, and a Repro Fender decal to match the ones of this time, including leaving the "stratocaster" section off, to mimic the left handed models if this era.

Truss rod adjustment at the heel as with these models, in full working order.

Frets are in excellent shape, barely touched. I have installed a set of Gotoh style tuners, as was on Kurt's. Please note there is a small chip under the high E tuning peg, which doesn't effect anything, but worth a mention still. I've included a picture of this capturing it best I can.

Vintage 90s seymour duncan SH-4 JB in the bridge position. The rest of the electronics are stock, seem to be 90s Japanese also of some type. Came loaded on the body when I got it, pickguard swapped to a black 3ply 62spec guard, to match the original.

I have used a Squier Classic vibe tremolo assembly, as well as back neck plate, which I have reversed, to present as blank.

Tremolo decked to the body, effectively hardtailing it, as Kurt's was.
