Up for sale is my wonderful 1978 Fender Vibrochamp amplifier. It is complete with new speaker, old speaker, padded cover and foot switch. 

This amp was serviced in July 2023 for £80:

“Service Fender Vibro-Champ amplifier.

Replace four capacitors and two resistors.

PAT safety test, OK”

It was also heavily serviced/ safety repaired in 2021 for £120, and I can supply the full breakdown of that invoice if needed. 

It had a new Jensen Special Design P8R alnico speaker fitted in August 2022 at a cost of £142.75 (this price included fitting and a new foot switch)

The original Fender speaker is included, but has a slightly torn edge (gives you the Kinks sound though hey!)

It also includes a UK handmade soft padded cover from hotcovers.co.uk, this cost £53 

I would very much encourage you to visit me and try it out, here in Bruton Somerset. These amps are not silent digital style things, they are old tube amps, so it’s always worth playing these things to make sure they match your expectations.

I’ve been working as a guitarist for 20 years and love old characterful things, rather than polished perfection. It’s been well cared for and had lots of love. I’m told (by people more clever than I in electronics!) that capacitors and resisters have a limited life span, and so while you might find a cheaper Champ amp out there, you may find that those parts are starting to degrade and go out of spec and will need repairing. With this one I’ve had the experts check it over regularly to keep it up to spec and sounding great (and safe!). Google “fender champ death cap” to find out more about dangerous unserviced amps! 

I’d much rather someone really love it, and use it. So ask any questions, even if you need any more audio.
