This Vox Electro 12 Folk is an iconic piece of Italian design and guitar craft, hard to find - don't miss!

This is a seldom seen Vox Electro 12 Folk, made in comparatively low numbers and in association with the original Eko factory, Recanati, Italy, from where its design influences can clearly be seen.

She's the early version circa 1965 as per black gloss neck and black pickuard, also the low serial number (which is literally a sequence number) on the neck plate places the guitar around mid 60's. So at nearly 60 years we can say that in fairness the condition really is excellent!

There are no apparent repairs and no cracks, breaks or damages or issues, besides a small area of wood on the back that looks like a ding but is actually part of the wood (pictured).

Only other thing to note is that the bridge has been upgraded to include a tailpiece, which would have been installed by the previous owner within the last few years.

These were the first and last of the genuine luthier made Eko and Vox guitars that were made mid to late 60's only, and before mass production set in and the design and material standards changed.

The tailpiece is the intelligent way to ensure the guitars longevity as a 12 string, the tone is not compromised much by this arrangement and of course when amplified this makes no odds. A truly iconic and rare piece of Italy's finest.
