Luxman L1 1980
Beautiful early 80's amplifier from Luxman Corporation. Luxman are credited with producing an extensive range of solid state amplifiers - many of which move into audiophile territory. This L1 model is humble to the more powerful models which are highly sought after.
The previous owner was a Jazz enthusiast and this amp works particularly well with Jazz audio dynamics where raw power less essential than subtlety. To me the sound of this L1 has a lovely warmth.
The unit was serviced and repaired by Stereo Stereo in Glasgow in 2006 as a channel was down. Its since had the same problem with one channel down- it was a simple repair last time so probably a straightforward repair for someone technically minded. There are several small plate screws missing and a few scratches on the top plate but otherwise its cosmetically in good condition.
Selling as 'for parts' as I've not had the time to get the unit serviced.
