Now discontinued by Pono and very rare to find this is in excellent condition with two slight scratches to the headstock done during restringing.

The replacement model sold by K R Strings retails in excess of 2000 dollars US.

Comes with original Hard Case.

Designed by noted luthier and instrument historian Kilin Reece, this flat-top octave mandolin / tenor guitar features a cutaway tenor guitar size body with a solid Engelmann Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. It has a 21.5" scale and a 1-3/8" nut. Its four double courses of strings can be tuned one octave below a typical mandolin's tuning (GDAE) or similar to a tenor guitar (DGBE). A fun-to-play instrument with fine workmanship (as Pono is known for) and terrific, unique sound. A mandolin-guitar hybrid with a great full voice. **This is currently strung as an Octave Baritone Ukulele tuned - DdGgbbee.
