Sioma Paris Tenor Saxophone
£500
Unsure of date but circa 1975
The brand was created by Alex Burns & Co in the UK, importing under the Sioma brand models made in France by either Guénot or Pierret.
At some point, one of the posts was resoldered (see pic) with no incidence on the sound of course.
Other than that, as good a condition as you can get for a model that age, with a full revision in 2022 so now playing great. A few pads were changed and the action was overhauled.
It comes with a Vandoren V16 mouthpiece (retails at £275), lots of accessories and a quality ABS case with 2 keys (£135 retail).
Always kept in its box with pad savers to ensure the pads are in optimum condition with no leak.
This would make a really nice instrument for a beginner to tenor sax, certainly far more playable than the Chinese instruments you find at rock-bottom price!
