I've had this Taylor Custom GC since 2012 when it was built at Taylor's El Cajon Plant.

It's a one off custom build with Macassar ebony back and sides and an Engelmann spruce top.

It's been my dream guitar with a lovely tone that has opened out and rounded as it ages.

Macassar ebony - "dense hardwood is typically clear and loud with considerable overtones and dynamic range. It has a strong bass and lower mids, clear highs, and a slightly scooped midrange like rosewood. Like koa, it often takes a little while for the tone to open up and become richer."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

It's an ideal for fingerpicking and also delivers punch when strummed.

It has Taylor's expression system pickup which is great, very natural tone.

There are a couple of little surface marks on the gloss finish on the top (as shown) but nothing else, and overall the guitar is in excellent condion.

I've played in studio to record and used in live situations.

Reason for sale - I want to switch to a nylon string guitar. I would prefer to have both but I don't have the space or the money.

You're welcome to come and try the guitar if you're nearby.
