I bought this last year from the original owner, but have found the wider neck too much of a challenge, so have gone back to my D18. Beautiful guitar, has a few small dings from before I bought it, but it doesn't look bad in real light, the zoom photos tend to make them look much worse than they are. One of only around 600 made in the years 2007 to 2012 and sure to become collectible, with appointments like pyramid bridge, ebony heel cap, old style machines, back centre stripe, herringbone rosette etc. I've included the factory spec underneath.

This Martin D21 Special Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar that comes with a hardcase. The wider nut and string spacing makes this guitar perfect for musicians that enjoy finger-picking. Has just the right amount of low end for bass without being too overbearing. It is a very well-balanced guitar with great resonance that would make an excellent addition for anyone.

Manufacturer's Description:

Solid materials and craftsmanship dressed down to simple elegance.

Historically, Martin's 21 styling has represented the simplest appointment level with rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. Introduced in 2007, Martin's OM-21 Special closely replicates this plain but beautiful style by blending rosewood bindings, a herringbone rosette, a nitrate tortoise pickguard and an ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge. The D-21 Special Guitar shares identical appointments with the OM-21 Special, but in a dreadnought format. The resulting instrument offers Martin's legacy tone with classic style.
