Ibanez Jem77FP (Floral Pattern) - Mid 90s
This is in great condition and comes with an Ibanez pink logo UV1000C case.

This mid 90's Jem (rock solid scarf joint and move to then more pink, less glowing volume / tone knobs) has an unusual serial number (Ibanez used the year at the start, followed by the build no but then ran out of front end year numbers). So no exact date here.

The JEM77 FP (Floral Pattern) solid body electric guitar model was introduced by Ibanez in 1988 and features a special floral pattern finish which is printed on cloth and glued to the body. The edges are then painted black and a thick clear coat is applied to the entire guitar. The idea for the fabric covered body came from Steve Vai and the floral pattern was modelled after curtains in Vai's home.

The body of the JEM77 is basswood bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with fluorescent green vine inlays. Components include light pink DiMarzio pickups mounted in a clear pickguard with a pair of PAF Pro humbuckers flanking a custom JEM single-coil, a double locking tremolo bridge, pink top hat knobs and Gotoh tuning machines. Cosmo Black large strap buttons. Pickups are direct mounted (first seen in 1993/4).

This has the awesome Lo-Pro Edge tremolo introducted in 1991. As with the other JEM guitars the body includes a signature monkey grip handle near the upper horn and the lion's claw cutaway behind the tremolo rout. It also has a cutaway heel neck joint to improve access to the upper frets. Additionally the four upper frets on the fingerboard are deeply scalloped.

Aside from the usual neck pocket paint crack this is pretty much unblemished aside from a couple of clear coat paint chips (top horn on lower side and body edge has a small chip - see last 2 pics). This guitar has been well cared for. The number plate has some unusual wear giving it a slightly different colour, and could be resprayed by the new owner to make this look pristine.

Comes with a pink logo Ibanez UV1000C case (burgundy interior) - middle combo lock is broken. .

The guitar has benefited from a Plek scan, analysis, dressing & setup:

Plek measures an instrument with a Plek station, will adjust it if necessary and adjust it freshly.

The string position measured at the 12th fret is now:

E: 2.3mm

e: 2.0mm

Strings: 10-46

The frets form a measured radius of 10.8″ to 11.4″ above the fingerboard.
