Watkins Westminster 1959 - Blue Rexine

For sale is a 1959 - 1960 Watkins Westminster amplifier. This is the rarer 14 watt version making it essentially a Dominator in a smaller cabinet. The amp itself isn’t hugely loud like you would expect from a modern 14 watt amp which makes it a perfect vintage house amp that can be driven to overdrive at reasonable volume. The tremolo is gorgeous and the amp as a package punches well above its price range.

This Watkins works perfectly and has no noise or hum even when cranked. It’s been a favourite in my house for the past few years as a result. Due to a big guitar purchase I am clearing out some gear otherwise I would happily hang onto this forever.

Original 8 inch ELAC speaker

Serviced in 2021, the speaker is fitted with a reversible speaker extension jack so the amp can be lined out to a bigger cab.
