The Jam Pedals Red Muck Fuzz MK2 puts on a few pounds, grows a new set of very powerful and sharp teeth, and is out to seduce even the most demanding Muff connoisseurs! This one roars…
The Red Muck Fuzz is inspired by the ’71 “triangle” and the later “Red Army / Civil War” Muffs, the Red Muck though boasts a wider range of beautiful saturation and varied degrees of compression and sustain on tap to the player.
The very useful Boost footswitch engages a completely dedicated section of the circuit, one that’s separately tuned to hit the front end of the Red Muck itself and generate even fatter and fuller walls of Fuzz-Distortion. But with the Gain set lower, it’ll function as a High-Gain-Stage footswitch.
The front mounted 2-way toggle-switch selects between symmetrical (exactly like the Red Muck MK1) and asymmetrical “+” clipping modes! So if you’re after early sustaining Muff tones or massive Stoner-Fuzz-Distortion-wall-of-sound, the Bear has definately got your back!
Added to that Jam Pedals usual stunning build quality and artwork and you’ve got a truly special fuzz pedal at your disposal.
Gilmourish.com simply said “I warmly recommend the Red Muck”
So do we. A great pedal.
What we love about Jam Pedals, apart from the great tone, is the attention to detail. Each pedal comes with a bag and pick that suits the pedal, they’re not generic to the brand. Does this little thing actually matter though? Only in as much as it shows a mindset, and indicates the attention to detail that goes on inside the enclosure too!
