A legendary 1960-61 Vox AC30/6… This one was nicknamed “The Ox“ for obvious cosmetic reasons :) I got this epic beast from the one and only Steve Dove of S.A. Amp works back in 2000. It became my mainstay studio amp and toured a few years before being retired to the studio. It has been a fixture of so many recordings for so many artists over the years here at ZeroHour and we’re very sad to let it go.

Clearly, the condition is rough, but I did get it this way 23 years ago and it’s never once let me down. Original blues, the coveted NON Top Boost circuit, which gives it so much roar. Once you’ve plugged a Tele into this and linked the channels and run it up a wee bit your life will be changed.

We’d prefer a pickup as this is a very heavy amp. But we will arrange insured shipping for the lucky buyer. Steve serviced this amp numerous times over the years to keep it roaring and chiming with the best, and he reckons it was a AC-30/6 Bass model which simply increased the low end response. All I know is it sounds like rock n roll personified and loves pedals.
