The Red Menace is one of the first, modified, muff circuits I did that combines two of my favorite muffs, the early Red Army Overdrive and the 1972 Triangles.

The low end has the perfect balance of low-end and clarity. You can feel the punch of the bass notes cutting through the fuzz. The high strings have a sweet, high-gain, sustain just like the later Triangle pedals.

While adding the mids control I also had to modify the circuit to keep the original punch on chords and the smooth, singing tone on leads.

Stomp Under Foot pedals are made by hand using only quality, through-hole components.
