Rare Elka Gem WS2 (Italy, 1990) Module Arranger Midi Sound Expander and Drum machine! Read the full ad!

Hi guys, I’m selling this ultra rare Elka WS2 module, fully working and in good cosmetical condition for its age with some traces of use.

This module is super rare as it is marked with the Elka brand. All the other WS2s on the market are instead branded with the Gem brand. This means that this WS2 is one of the first examples produced in Italy by Elka, shortly before the company was bought by Gem company.

CONDITION: I inherited this beautiful expander from a friend of my family and I don’t know how to play it. However the unit seems fully working to me: it turns on, all keys respond to commands, some keys sometimes need to be pushed a bit harder, but everything in my opinion works. The sounds are cool and so are the rhythms! Cosmetically there are several signs of use (scratches, etc.), but the unit works.

I was able to listen the various rhythms and, by changing the midi channel, I was able to hear some preset sounds connecting a midi keyboard! I’ve not tested other more advanced functions. I couldn't even test the floppy disk reader since I don't have compatible floppy disks, I’m sorry.

IMPORTANT: Since I don't know how to test all this musical instrument at 100%, I'm selling it at a super discounted price as it doesn't work (even if it works) with no possibility of return or refund.

To avoid any controversy or complaints - as I’m not an expert - I’m selling this Elka WS2 as "not working". It can probably be a great deal for anyone familiar with this type of vintage instrument or maybe some musician that can test and eventually fix it (if necessary).
