Very VERY rare. 100W all-valve amp, that's actually two amps in one:
- an 18W 2x EL84 amp
- with two footswitchable channels
- running into a dummy load
- then into an FX loop
- then into a 100W 4x EL34
- with its own tone stack
- and Volume control
So you get your twang/crunch/creamy distortion from the 18W amp, and can dial as much room volume as you want, all the way from 0.1W bedroom levels to 100W stadium levels. Plus your Treble/Middle/Bass/Presence tone controls all come after the 18W amp's power distortion, so they are far more effective at sculpting your tone.
No attenuator, no powerscaling, just two amps running into one into the other in Guy Hedrick's patented design. (Supposedly Keith Richards would sometimes do this with the Stones - running his Fender Champ's output into a Fender Twin Reverb.)
The tones run from jangly cleans to hot-rodded lead, see for example the 'Reeling in the Years' clip with Jon Herrington that I've linked to.
