If you are a fan of Fender Japan guitars you know how great their workmanship and attention to detail is. This 54 reissue is no exception. All the right stuff and a cool vibe. String through body for killer sustain and tone. I'm a big fan of hardtail Strats as they deliver big tone and tuning stability. 25.5 inch scale maple neck with maple fingerboard and a cool vintage feel. A trio of single coil pickups dish out classic Strat tone. Six saddle string through bridge and vintage style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is classic two tone sunburst and is set off by white plastic. A really cool and quite uncommon guitar!
Like most Fender Japan guitars, this one plays and sounds great. Great feeling beefy neck with nice action and good frets. Nice tone with typical Fender sparkle and the added sustain of a string through body. Condition wise, this would be a good guitar for a player. Overall VG-EX condition. It shows light to moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as moderate dents, dings and checking. The hardware shows moderate corrosion and there’s some chipping near the string ferrules. Cool semi vibe. Comes in a gigbag.
Japanese built Fenders have a great reputation and many fans. As Fender offers very few Japanese instruments in their line, the price has increased for used examples. This one is priced right and has a great vibe. BUY IT NOW and own a cool Strat!
