This is a great small powered mixer (with built in high quality compressors, graphic, and multi-effects) which can accomodate upto 6 mono inputs and 2 stereo inputs. So this would be enough for a a small 4-5 piece band with 3 vocals + instruments. in smal to medium venue. Different input settings (e.g for different bands) can be saved on board (or via MIDI). This item has been mainly used in the home music room for a few practices and only 1 gig and 1 practice relsewhere. This is mainly because it is a bit heavy for me to move it around for gigs. This is an ideal fixed Sound System solution for a small to medium pub/music venue. It can put out 300 Watts RMS into 4 ohms in stereo ( so can handle 2 separate 8 ohm speakers on each side). It comes in a flight case. I think due to the weight of the item I would prefer a collection. It comes in a Thomann flightcase and will be shipped in that. However, I will keep an open mind for buyers who may want to make their own collection arrangements via a courier. More details below.

The DP1000  is a 10 input 4 output digital audio mixer with performance memory system designed for small high quality live sound applications. It provides a complete sound system in a single portable package by including both mono and stereo input channels, built-in parametric and graphic EQ, compressors, noise gates, dual effects processing, together with full mixing facilities and a built-in power supply. Additional outputs are provided for recording, auxiliary and slave amplifier feeds. The DP1000 is a known as a ‘powered’ mixer as it includes a built-in power amplifier for direct connection to loudspeakers. Instead it provides a pair of main outputs suitable for driving an external amplifier system, or for use as a sub-mixer.

Unlike traditional analog mixers, the control settings can be stored and recalled from memory. The stored memories can be sequenced for recall in the required order. This makes it very easy to automate the performance or change between events without having to manually reset the controls. The benefit to the musician or small band is that the settings appropriate to each song can be recalled according to the set being played by simply pressing a pushbutton, footswitch or MIDI. Additional memories store the settings appropriate to the venue being played.

Theatre shows can be automated by storing and recalling the settings for each scene according to cue list. Control settings for regular events typical of multi-function venues, clubs, schools, churches, conferences centres and so on can be set up and instantly recalled from memory. Memories can be copied, named, archived and locked to prevent them being accidentally overwritten. MIDI ports are provided.

The output power is into 4 ohms, so 2x 8 ohm speakers can be linked together to get the maximum output on each side.

The icon is easy to use with a simple uncluttered control layout that does not sacrifice the instant access so important in live performance. The large illuminated LCD display and custom soft touch backlit controls allow operation in both light and dark conditions and provide a very graphical display of the selected functions without complex multi-level menus.
