Neumann VMS 70 Fully restored

Beautiful Neumann VMS 70. This lathe has undergone a full restoration and has been modified to include the DJR pitch and depth system allowing cutting accuracy and level up to the same standard as the VMS80. 

This particular system also has a fully rebuilt SAL rack with new feedback amps, New V cards, and a remote power supply which has been fully rebuilt.

Fully rewired SAL rack and cabling. A Neumann SX74 cutterhead is installed and supplied.

Every electronic circuit has been recapped and worked on to ensure trouble free use. 

This lathe has many other custom features to make cutting to a high standard nice and easy.  

The Lyrec turntable motor has been totally rebuilt with new bearings.

The pitch drive motors have been fully serviced. 

The lathe is supplied with a custom remote and the custom seismic isolators allow this lathe to be situated on any subfloor with no need for a separate concrete pad. Complete isolation is possible with this system on any decent floor. You could actually use this lathe on an upper story of a building with a standard floor using this system. This is a game changer for a VMS70 which normally requires a separate concrete sub floor for isolation.

This is a fully turnkey system rebuilt to cut records professionally at the highest standard in the modern age. This lathe is in daily service in Stardelta Mastering studio 2 and will be replaced with another lathe.  It has done its 18 months soak test after full restoration and is sounding amazing and performing perfectly.
