I am selling my Kenwood KP770d turntable. The KP is a Japanese home market table designed to run at 100v, but the sale includes an Airlink 50w 230v to 100v step-down transformer that will allow use across the UK and EU.
The table is in very good condition mechanically, and the quartz lock is solid at both 33.3 and 45rpm.
This is a semi-automatic table with arm lift at the end of the album (no auto return) and an excellent brake to halt the substantial platter. The arm is fitted with the proprietary HS 51 headshell and comes with an Audio technica AT VM95e cartridge.
There is, unfortunately, damage to the dust cover (star shaped crack), and one of the hinges is damaged, which prevents the dust cover staying in an upright position unsupported.
This is a wonderful table that I am only selling due to a need to downsize the number of turntables I have.
There is very little, if anything, currently being made at this price that can compare to this beautiful piece of classic hifi equipment.
I am open to sensible offers, but a quick search of the cost of the arm and headshell alone will let you know that this is a fair deal.
International shipping could be arranged, but shipping costs, taxes and any import duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
Thank you for looking.
