The Fender Player Jaguar Bass will appeal to players requiring a selection of classic Fender tones, courtesy of its PJ pickup configuration, whilst also fulfilling the needs of those requiring some of the Jaguar's obvious style charms. In a world of P and Jazz basses, sometimes it's nice to step away from the norm whilst maintaining some Fender goodness...enter the Jaguar Bass.
The Fender Player Jaguar Bass features an alder body that has been shaped into the iconic off-set design. Married to the body is a maple neck that has been shaped into a Modern "C" profile that feels great in the hand whether powering some root notes down low or playing faster riffs higher up. Added playability comes courtesy of the 9.5" radius fingerboard, which is set with 20 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays.
Tonally, the Player Jag Bass is versatile machine, mainly in part to its PJ pickup configuration. Fat, warm and thumpy P bass tones are here in abundance, thanks to the split coil in the neck position, whilst that classic Jazz Bass bridge pickup honk and bite is accessible with the single coil bridge pickup. The pickups are wired through a simple Volume, Volume, Tone control section making for an easy adjustment of sound when required.
Other features include the 4-saddle bridge and open-gear chrome tuners, for solid tuning stability, and a vintage style 50s spaghetti Fender logo on the headstock.
