Behringer MX800 48/24-Channel Dual Input 8-Bus Mixing Console

 This is probably the best analogue mixing desk to come out from Behringer (the Mackie copycat and lawsuit model) and is rare to find in such good condition, with power supply and meter bridge included. After the lawsuit they redesigned the console, and I believe it turned into the MX8000 A, or something like that, then the MX9000. Even though the court rejected Mackie’s suit, stating circuit schematics are not covered by copyright law, Behringer changed up the design and look, probably to avoid Mackie coming up with another way to sue them over it. Who knows.

 I purchased this unit new, right after it was released. It’s got less than 50 hours use on it. It has been stored in a climate controlled environment at my family’s business. Way back when, I moved, and no longer had the room to set up my personal studio, hence it went into storage, and I moved on to a computer based studio. Before it did, there was a problem channel fader I found. Had that serviced/replaced, and gone through and tested by M.I.S.C. in Boston.  It hasn’t been used since. Pretty much in new condition.

 Besides that fader, never had an issue with it. Behringer boards don’t get much respect, but this was a good board, especially for the money. $2000 new, plus another $450 for the meter bridge. Considering the Mackie it copied was twice the price, it was a good deal. Some people have had some issues with them, others have used them for years without any problems. While I can’t guarantee that there might not be a scratchy knob somewhere, having not used it for so long, there shouldn’t be any issues that a shot of electronics cleaner wouldn’t clear up.

 Includes the rack-mountable power supply (which has a very long connection-to-board cord, so it can be stashed wherever-the power supply itself still sells for $150), the optional Meter Bridge, and manual.

 The issue will be with shipping. Altogether, the 3 components weigh about 90 lbs. I have listed it as local pickup only, but, if you want to pay the shipping, I will ship it, as the units have all the original packing with them. Weights are as follows – Console 60 lbs, power supply 22 lbs, meter bridge 10lbs.
