Hi all,

For sale is an MJT Stratocaster body. The specs are as follows:

MJT wildwood manufactured alder body in realistically aged lake placid blue. It’s light-weight with some of the coolest checking I've seen on an MJT. The acrylic colour coat has checked vertically, the nitro top coat at 90 degrees, just like the old ones. Body has holes for 8 or 11 screw pickguard. The pictures are more blue than it looks in person, a hard colour to photograph accurately! The body unloaded (before painting/hardware fitted) weighed 3.10 pounds (according to the MJT marking in the neck pocket). I’ve had a custom shop Fender in lake placid blue and this and the ageing looks every bit as good.

Art Of Aging (crazy parts) hardware, strap buttons, bridge, block, springs etc. as pictured. Also includes the soldered input jack (switchcraft from memory) and the ground from the trem.

Please be aware that the bridge screw holes have been filled and re-drilled (see pictures) plus the trem claw screw holes have also been filled and re-drilled. I have priced and updated the listing accordingly to reflect this. The bridge functions fine for me (I have it decked down and blocked but would do that anyway) and I have no issues with playing the guitar but obviously sold as seen and I want you to be aware this has been done to the body! I think someone fitted a narrower spaced import style bridge (or maybe that’s what this originally had from MJT) and someone has since put the vintage spaced bridge on this but I did not do this work! A few of the pickguard screws are also a little loose so I think someone may have overtightened a few screws but you can still fit a pickguard no issues (see last picture).

Reluctant sale, I am only selling as I prefer Telecaster guitars at the moment and picked up a Fender tele body recently. I can provide more pictures (including the underside of the pickguard and cavity, neck pocket etc.) if required.

I’ve also pictured the body as is as it’s currently fitted to an American Original 50s Fender neck plus crazy parts hardware (pick guard, pickup covers) and Bare Knuckle pickups. This listing is obviously for the body only and the Art Of Aging (crazy parts) strap buttons, bridge, trem arm, block, springs, soldered input jack as previously outlined. I would be willing to sell the neck as well or the whole guitar as is. Message me if interested. I can also include a G&G case. I could also sell the body loaded with all the hardware pickups etc for an extra £125 or so.

Happy to ship or for people to collect. If collecting, happy for people to check out before committing to buy. I also travel around West Midlands so can potentially drop off depending where you’re based.

I’ve put the condition as fair to reflect the re-drilled screw holes for the bridge/trem claw. Cool custom colour in nitro and the ageing is super realistic.

I’ve had this on and off reverb a few times. This had sold without me realising the bridge had been redrilled so it’s been returned to me hence re-listing with a reduced price.

I have a couple of other MJT bodies which will come up for sale soon and those are the USACG bodies. This one is the nicest by a mile in terms of the wood used and the finish work in my opinion.

Sold as seen unless not as described, please ask away!

Thanks,
Ben
