Hello, are you a super wealthy pedal collector? A member of the Beatles perhaps? Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk? Tipsy John Mayer? Well then I've got just the thing for you. To my knowledge, this is the very first Boss CE-1. Hence the serial number S000001. If you're looking for a grail, something to make literally every guitar player jealous....well here it is.
Now for a quick history lesson: In 1976, Roland Boss was the first company to make a chorus effect in pedal form. End of Lesson. What did we learn? We learned that this unit is not only the first CE-1, but also the one true father of all Chorus pedals. Let that sink in. The first chorus pedal ever. Ever. Much like Adam in the Garden of Eden or Dracula, the OG vampire. This thing oozes mojo. The tone is legendary. Truly magical. Unfortunately, the mortal fingers on my left hand are not dexterous enough to be worthy of such an item. If the chords of wonderwall flow through its sacred circuits one more time, it may very well just explode and respawn in someone else's attic. But until that day comes, it remains under my careful, loving stewardship. I once promised myself to never sell this grail. It's too special. But times are tight and medical tragedies have afflicted my family, so here I am. Anyways, this is it. You won't find a more special piece of gear. This is as rare as it gets. More rare than the $500k Klon Serial #2, more rare than your uncle’s old guitar with 7 pickups and wierd vibrato. This is it. This is the one. Nothing can compare. It will probably be worth 10 million in 20 years. So no, I won't accept your offer of 50k. And no I'm not going to open it up and show you the guts. I don't want to release the old mojo air that still lives inside. That air can only be smelled by people that give me 1 million dollars. Yes it works. And yes I will include the case with the sale. Might even hand deliver in person if you live somewhere cool like Australia or Tokyo. That's all. Have a nice day.
