About This Listing

This is the first Grand Concert mandolin ever made by Brian Dean, considered one the greatest mandolin luthiers in North America. It was made for me in 2009, and I have performed with it on stages from Carnegie Hall to neighborhood clubs, in classical, jazz, rock, and bluegrass genres. It's been with me on tour with Regina Spektor and Jewel, the San Francisco Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, and chamber music ensembles all over the world, as well as countless club dates and folk gigs. This is the instrument I recorded my first duo album with Bridget Kibbey on, as well as my recording of the complete mandolin music of David Loeb. I used my Brian Dean 10-string and Alon Sariel played this instrument on our recording of the lute music of John Dowland, and my solo EP was likewise recorded on it. It's still in terrific shape, I just use the 10-string exclusively now, and I hate to see it sit unplayed. I'd rather it went to a good home, so contact me to make a fair offer.
