I closed my shop in gatlinburg, Tennessee due to Covid and am now selling exclusively online. This gives me more time for building which is what I love to do.
I have handcrafted hundreds of instruments over my 40 year career and this banjo dulcimer is by far my most popular instrument! I have built and sold hundreds of this banjo style dulcimer!
Crafted from beautiful North Carolina golden hard maple and walnut. This instrument has 4 strings and plays the same as a lap dulcimer, but is strung up opposite - so can be hung around the neck.
Stunning paulownia sound board!
Hand carved 3 piece walnut and maple neck, with wenge (which is a rare species of tropical wood) laminated overlay fretboard. 5 piece hand carved walnut and maple head.
Can be set up for left hand as well.
Enclosed Brass gear tuning knobs.
Position markers.
Strap button.
Includes instructions and songbook.
