2017 Vassilis Lazarides Flamenco Blanca ‘Reyes’ - £2199.00
This is a handmade professional 1A concert Flamenco guitar by master luthier, Vassilis Lazarides in excellent plus condition, rarely played and never gigged.
Its construction and internal bracing is based on Manuel Reyes guitars; it has a solid tight grained German spruce top with 70 year old solid cypress one piece back and solid cypress sides, a cedar neck, ebony fingerboard, rosewood appointments and is French polished. The sound is loud & crisp, as a Blanca should be. It has great sustain, and individual notes are very clean and evenly balanced across the instrument, lovely highs, mids and lows when played hard - and sweet when strummed. The action is low with great playability; it has a 53 mm nut and 655 mm scale length. It has no fret wear but would benefit from new strings.
Vassilis’ guitars don’t have serial numbers but the Reyes models are named after Greek Gods, this one is ‘Triton’ and comes in a hard case, with a built-in hydrometer.
This is a very reluctant sale; I have an injured hand and no longer play.
