Here we have a really nice nearly 60 year old Gibson Tenor TGO. It’s in outstanding condition with light scratches indentations finish chips/checks throughout. Pretty natural finish and classy top binding in great shape too. Very faint “TG0”stamp inside.
The head and neck are very well preserved with minimal wear. The neck is straight. It’s currently set up with new D’Addario strings. (It’s a 23” scale guitar and a little research suggested a .9” A string. I’m leaving a new .10 in the case pocket). Action’s a bit high on the upper frets but there’s plenty of saddle to shave down should you want to lower it. I’ll leave that up to next owner as they wish. The truss rod is fully functional.
Notice that the ferrule is missing for the A string. (I’m looking for a replacement and it’ll be included if I find one before it’s sold)
This guitar plays GREAT as is andreally sings! Vintage aged wood is resonant and it has an amazingly deep tone for a smaller bodied guitar.
There are some light finish cracks on the bridge. I think they’re just in the finish because the crack goes across one of the little pearloid screw covers. See pics
Includes original chipboard case!! It shows wear with some rips/scuffs, but in overall good condition . All hinges, clasps, handle and inside pocket are functional. Metal Gibson plate is still present!!
