This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is a rare Musima Elgita made in the mid 1960s in East Germany.

The guitar is in a very good condition and has rare, awesome playability (super low string action possible).

The quality of these guitars rivals their West German counterparts (Germans are Germans after all...) and deliver very interesting sound alternatives to the mainstream. Grab this beauty while you still get them for moderate prices.

Condition:

The guitar is in a beautiful condition for its age, with some dings and dongs. Noticeable are corrosion traces on the edges of the pickups and the poti knobs (see pics) which I removed as good as possible without damaging anything.

Electrics:

The electrics work fine, delivering a very rich and warm, yet clear tone from the pick ups. They sound very loud, but clear and brilliant, ideal for twang and surf sounds, but also funk and everything else that needs twang. The controls take some time to get used to, but once you figured them out, a multitude of interesting sounds is at hand.

Sound and Playability:

The guitar plays easily with a very low string action. The pickups (Simetos) are awesome.

Frets, Repairs, Service:

Guitar restored completely, cleaned, fretboard oiled, tuners oiled, frets polished, new 10 gauge strings attached, set up to be played immediately. The guitar comes detuned for shipping.
