This is a used Generation pennywhistle in the key of D. It's in very good shape though it's not much to look at - there is a patina or some kind of speckling to the finish that is purely cosmetic (the finish is still smooth, so it's visual as opposed to structural). It has two small dents at the bell end, as if someone had pinched it in a vice or something, but they are not deep and do not affect the tone or pitch at all. The mouthpiece has some minor nicks and possibly a couple of toothmarks, but it hasn't been chewed. Overall the condition is very good structurally, if not a shining beauty of a whistle.

I did a couple small tweaks to it. I removed the head, so now you can pull it off and put it back on as you please, but more importantly it makes it slightly tunable. Generations usually come with the mouthpiece pushed all the way in, so you can't really go any further to sharpen it, but you can flatten it by pulling the mouthpiece out. I also added some beeswax to the cavity inside the mouthpiece, underneath the windway. Many whistlers recommend this for adding stability to the tone. This whistle already sounded great without that modification, so I don't know that it made a huge difference, but it's a very solid player now.

I will include a small cloth pouch that fits the whistle nicely.
