This is a rare, Japanese made, arched top guitar similar to a Gibson L-5 ( described on the internet as the "L-5 lawsuit model"). It was last manufactured in 1996 and I purchased this one new about that time. It has been played only at home and is in very nice condition. The pictures have some reflections which look like spots but the guitar is clean with a beautiful burgundy finish and gold hardware. The top is solid spruce and the back and sides are laminated beech/birch. The neck is mahogany with an ebony fret board. The action is great and it is smooth playing. The pick-ups are DiMarzio with coil splitting tone controls allowing for flexibility in sound. The case is the original Yamaha plush hard case.
