Long-discontinued acoustic guitar favoured by the late, great legendary British Folk guitarist Bert Jansch - namely a revered, hand-crafted model YAMAHA LL11. A brilliant guitar make no mistake! Hand-crafted from finest tone-woods (including scalloped bracing) it has a both a sound & playability that rivals guitars four times the asking price. Research shows that it was made in the Kaohsiung Factory, Taiwan on the 11th July 2002. Bar a couple of minor cosmetic scratches and one small, pock-like lacquer ding to the top’s finish (see pic), the guitar is in fine condition for its years. Also included in this sale is a quality vintage Fender locking hard case that fits the guitar like a glove and protects it well when in storage and transit.

Scalloped Bracing

An original scalloped bracing configuration designed by Yamaha is used in the LL11. This configuration dramatically improves the instrument's transient response for transparent tone and crystalline attack.

L-Block Heel Joint

To achieve optimum sound and projection, the efficiency with which the vibration of a guitar's strings is transmitted throughout the instrument plays a critical role. The LL11 features a Yamaha original L-block heel joint to increase the surface area joining the top to the sides, back and neck. This intensifies vibrative transmission, creating brilliant sound and response.
