Very Rare Allison Acoustics Architect Two speakers from the late 1980s early 1990s
These are a pair of very rare classic Allison Architect Two speakers, thought the 1980s and early 1990s I owned an audiophile hi-fi business and was a retailer for Allison Acoustic loudspeakers.
This pair of Architect twos have lived very happy in my lounge but I need to downsize, the Foam surrounds were recently replaced (see images).
I’m happy to ship but they are large, heavy and would need insurance hence the expensive shipping costs -
if I can ship them cheaper I will refund the difference
Some additional information
Roy Allision was the main designer and vice president of engineering and manufacturing at Acoustic Research until he left to start Allison Acoustics in the 1970s and later RDL in the 1990s.
Audiophile speakers that exploit the physics of room-speaker interaction. A by-product of their unique approach is that they are meant to be placed against a wall, unlike most speakers that work better when they are placed away from the walls; from a home decoration point-of-view, it is much easier to integrate Allisons into a room without compromising sound quality. One of these speakers happily lives in a corner
