The 1968 Reissue Fender Japan Custom Zebra-wood Stratocaster is one of the most interesting strats in my collection. It is very light, due to the chambered body, and the neck/fretboard is bound beautifully, as is the body.  It has USA

vintage Texas pickups (stock) and sounds incredible.  The wood is extremely rare, which is why they didn't make many of these. In Fact, they only made less than 100 pieces by Mitaka Gakki special order.

Originally in 1968, and it is also the reason why Fender Japan didn't make many reissues of them either. It really is a collector's dream stratocaster.  I've had (and have) a lot of Strat-style guitars, as they are my favorite guitar design, but

this one is very special. You could have hundreds of them lined up and most people would pick this one as the most beautiful. Its fit, finish and tone are done with astounding attention to detail.

You will be surprised to know that Fender master builder John English was so impressed with the model that in 2004 he recreated the guitar for as a showpiece for the 1968 NAMM Show.

This guitar plays and sounds like a custom shop. The neck is straight and the action is Low. The pickups offer a variety of tones and the electronics work as they should. Frets no wear and the guitar plays shockingly well. Condition wise, this example hasnt seen the light of day. Collector owned, and treated with love and care by the original owner. certainly for a collector. The finish is flawless and the figuring of the zebra-wood is to die for! Comes in a vintage fender tweed Case. We also received a Signature John Jorgenson Made in japan Stratocaster from the same collector which will be listed shortly.

This Zebra-wood Strat is a great instrument that alot of pricey Upgrades. Very hard to find. This may be your best chance to grab one. John
