The Yamaha A-S1100, released in 2015 in Japan, is a modern high-fidelity integrated amplifier. Like other Yamaha amps, the A-S1100 offers advanced circuit engineering and the use of high-quality components. It features some great circuit design by Yamaha. It has a floating, balanced power amp section with MOSFETs. In this design, the entire power amp circuit is floated from the ground, to reduce ground noise and the influence of voltage fluctuations on the symmetric push-pull output stage. The use of MOSFETs as output elements provides great SNR and definition, as well as natural sound. Overall, the sound is awesome. The amp has a beautiful minimalist and classic “Yamaha” design, with a brushed aluminum front panel. The knobs turn smoothly, and the switches satisfyingly lock into place.
