Guild DeArmond Jetstar 1990s Cherry Red

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING EXAMPLE OF QUITE A RARE AND UNUSUAL GUITAR BY GUILD. This model was exclusively made in Korea for the European market.

All original including the USA made DeArmond Goldtone Humbucker pickups. 2 volume and 2 tone controls.

A reissue made by Fender of the old Guild Thunderbird, a favourite of Blues Legends like Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, and most recently Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys and Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Mahogany body, 60s LP style neck, pickups are spectacular USA made Goldtone - they sound incredible!!! They sound something like an old school Gretsch Filtertron, bright and jangly but can deliver punch where needed. Bridge pickup is a little more treble with lots of bite and snarl to it. Can get some really great tones!

Middle position is really interesting, but sounds completely different to what you’d expect from a Humbucking guitar.

This guitar is not to be confused with the DeArmond Jetstar Special, the budget version with smaller pick guard and budget Indonesian pickups.

Only two small cosmetic dings - one to the top of headstock, and one at the very top of the neck. Other than that there is only some light surface scratches mainly only on the back but a few in front. Hardly noticeable and expected from a guitar this age.

I love this guitar so much but I am trying to downsize my collection to buy either another Strat, Les Paul or a high end Yamaha acoustic.
