THE BREEDLOVE CONCERT BODY

The Concert is Breedlove’s most popular body shape, favoured by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Great sound. No clear-cut woods. The result of a pioneering three-year development programme, The Organic Collection from Breedlove offers four impressive series of sustainably-sourced, all-solid-wood acoustic electric guitars at revolutionary prices. The superior sound of the solid wood is enhanced by thin tops and UV finishes with less than half the glue for increased volume and sustain. No synthetic materials, resin impregnated softwoods or glue-heavy plywoods are used, reducing the guitars’ weight and further improving tone.

Breedlove aims to be the world’s most ecologically friendly and sustainable guitar brand. As such, all wood used in the Organic series comes from individually harvested trees, rather than from clear-cut forests. Revolutionary at this price point, Breedlove have used FSC-certified Mahogany and Spruce, and Oregon Myrtlewood.

For the guitars with Spruce sound boards, Breedlove have employed a torrefication process, which heats the wood, removing moisture and stabilising it. This has dual benefits: All-solid acoustic guitars are notoriously susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, sometimes leading to costly repairs, and in other cases ruining them beyond repair. Torrefication mitigates against this susceptibility, increasing the wood’s resistance and lifespan, especially in more extreme environments. The other benefit is tonal. Over time, solid woods improve and mature, improving a fine instrument’s tone. Torrefication gives you this benefit right out of the box: rich, aged tone, without the vintage instrument price tag!

Finally, all Organic Series guitars are fitted with Breedlove’s new Natural-Sound electronics. This system features soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls with easy battery replacement.
