1985 Original USA Charvel San Dimas era

For sale this Original San Dimas era Charvel USA from 1985 in very good condition. 

It has all original parts, including the Hard Shell Case, with the exception of the electronics. 

SanDimas Charvels are very sought-for instruments, as they incarnate the Super Strat concept. It was actually these guitars the one that popularised this during the 80s, played by names such as Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Allan Holdsworth or Warren de Martini amongst others. 

I bought this guitar in 2002 in USA, and it has been very well treated since then. It has some dings and usual wear, but it's in perfect condition, super stable, played and serviced regularly. 

It has the amazing Charvel classic thin neck with an incomparable feeling, and a greatly balanced body. 

I will enumerate the main points to check authenticity, but you can find more information here:  

Neck

• 22 Dunlop Jumbo fret blot-on oil-finished birdseye maple neck with rosewood trussrod route insert and ebony fretboard
• White plastic neck dots with white plastic side dots
• Raw steel with beveled edge truss rod nut
• Neck heel width 2 3/16'' 

Headstock

• Fender PreCBS small strat headstock
• Original tuners (Black nonlogo'd Gotoh Tuners)
• Charvel "Made In Usa" 2 1/2 inch logo on headstock 

Body

• Original SanDimas California neck plate with serial number 48XX, which dates the guitar in 1985
• The 4 digit plate was initially gold plated. It's quite common that these plates lose the gold coat over the years. There's a picture of the back of the plate which shows the gold plating
• Black oval 2 screw input jack
• Metal brushed control plate
• Original Gotoh domed volume & tone knobs (started being used in 1985)
• Original black anodised strap buttons (see the purple hue)
• Pots have been replaced as the guitar has been rewired
• Bridge & Neck pickups where replaced by two DiMarzio Paf PROs
• I still have the original pickups, I will include them in the case
• Mid single coil pickup is original
• Originally it had a Kahler tremolo system (see covered screw holes at the end of the tremolo cavity)
• This was replaced by Charvel with an original chromed Floyd Rose tremolo which was powdercoated in black, as specified in web page
• Original kahler tremolo claw
