The Professional Series (also known as Pro Series) was introduced in 1980 after Samic's / Hondo engineers took a trip to Japan to learn from their manufacturing processes and teamed up with Tokai and Matsumoku to create a line of Japanese-made models. The purpose of the line was to improve perception of the Hondo brand name. They were built from late 1979 through 1981, and sold from 1980-1983. Most featured the Hondo II "" logo, but in early 1981,they began switching to the new "" logo, and a gold plated truss rod cover.

Great conditions, some minor scratches and dents, You can see theem from images, fret ok and still working trussrod (I don't know exactly how much still). Some oxidation on pots, bridge, tuning pegs and nut, it's obvious, this bass is about 40yrs old.

Electronics and all pieces all original and still working fine, some hums on distortion/boost position.

Previous owner made a further hole to move the shoulder strap, also this is visible in the images.
