Fender 61 Stratocaster Relic Masterbuilt John English Seafoam Green 2002

John was a driving force in the early days of the Custom Shop, and helped define the creative environment that continues in the shop today. Johns contributions and techniques will continue to live on in the instruments that the world-renowned Fender Custom Shop produces.

The instruments that John English built in the Fender Custom Shop are among the best Custom Shop instruments. The '61 Stratocaster appeals to the imagination of many guitar players worldwide and is one of the projects where English really makes the difference. Like the Stealth Esquire that recently arrived at us, this Custom Shop Stratocaster is a great example and tribute to the 60s Stratocaster with the "Clay Dot" position markings, the 3-layer mint-green pickguard and the thick rosewood fingerboard still " new "wares and large headstocks and 3-bolt adjustable necks could have been part of a somewhat dystopian view of the future.

This '61 Strat contains a beautiful reliced Seafoam Green finish, which looks as if it has been used for years. This relic is very convincing and contains just the right tracks around the bottom, near the input jack and at the belly cut. The small headstock contains the typical Spaghetti logo, the outdated Kluson tuners and of course the Custom Shop John English Signature sticker. The pickup departement is provided with Custom Shop Handwound Single Coil pickups. The condition of this Stratocaster is excellent with some traces of use, including small dings and blemishes. Furthermore, she is supplied with the beautiful original case with all original supplied case candy.
