Ultra rare, 1989 Epiphone SG (G400) with the gorgeous open-book/Gibson style headstock in the highly sought after Cherry Red gloss finish. Made even rarer due to the trapeziod inlays as (a very little Elitist, Openbook and Trapeziod Inlays SG G400R's even exist)
Overall in Very Good shape for being a 30 year old guitar, Exeptional shape for a guitar that is nearly 3 decades old!
Three piece body construction with the unbelievably rare long neck tenon found Epiphone Elitist and high end Custom Shop models!
Made in Korea, Samick plant - INCREDIBLY high quality guitars out of this plant. 3-piece body.

Epiphone only made the open-book headstocks for one year in 1989. After word spread of the incredibly high quality instruments coming out of Korea by Epiphone that looked all too similar to the USA Gibson counterparts for a fraction of the price, Gibson quickly decided to redesign the Epiphone headstock to the current clipped ear model you see today. 1989 Epiphones are getting quite hard to come by due to limited production run, but also to the overall quality. Many swear by the Korean craftsmanship from the Samick plant and pay good money to pick up one of these guitars. The Epiphone SG (G400), is definitely a more rare model to find, so this is your chance to pickup a guitar that feels every bit as good as a Gibson SG.
