The time has come to re-home my Yamaha CP4 stage piano. If you’re looking at this advert, you’ll already know what a tasty bit of kit this is.

Included in the sale is:

Full Service

The stage piano was returned to me after being serviced by Yamaha on the 10th of January at a cost of £196. The instrument is now mechanically in brand new condition having had:

• Full replacement of all contact strips (these register velocity and can become worn)
• The replacement of 10 keys (These were done purely for cosmetic purposes where they showed very light wear)
• Full Yamaha cleaning of the inside of the board and beneath all keys
• Full Yamaha cleaning of the outside of the keys, dials and I/Os

Why am I selling this?

This keyboard has been an absolute workhorse and has defined the sound of the band. The split bass combined with the piano sound is an absolute killer combo and has been performed within the context of a ceilidh band. We have recently upgraded to the Yamaha Montage 88 and no longer have the use for it.

What condition is it in?

— Yamaha CP4

Full disclosure: the keyboard has been gigged and the body of the instrument in areas has slight markings. Mechanically it is a new instrument having had the full service. The keyboard is in full working order and plays fantastically.

— Swan Flight Case

Fully operational: both latches grip tightly, castors function/roll well and hinges are in good condition. The flight case itself shows wear and tear but this does not affect its ability to wheel, be carried or to protect the instrument. The keyboard has only ever been transported in the flight case and has been very well looked after in transit. I can say that it has never been dropped and the case has protected it well. We have Swan flight cases for almost all our equipment and instruments and they really are the very best at what they do. All marks are purely cosmetic.

This is brand new in box and is included as we don’t need two. It is a new product from Red5 Audio and is an excellent stand that can be manoeuvred exactly as you like. It is heavy and very well built.

How have you come to the price that you are asking for?

This instrument new retails at: £1,400 and flight case from Swan (with castors) is £243.64 – delivered to a UK mainland address. The total new would be £1642.64.

Yamaha CP4 retail: £1,400

Swan Case (with castors): £243.64 delivered

Red5 Audio T-Stand: £44.50 delivered

The total new would be £1,682.64

Subtract £280 off the cost of the keyboard itself to reflect its condition (20% off)

Subtract £245 to include the flight case for free (because why the funk not?)

Subtract £60 for a replacement Yamaha FC3A sustain pedal

Subtract £45 to include the T-Stand as my gift to you

The total comes to £1,050 (rounded down).
