This is an original 1965 wood box Tone Bender MKI fuzz pedal made by Gary Hurst himself. It's not a myth, rather, it is known that the first 100 MKI Tone Benders featured a hand-made wood case. The MKI would later be housed in a similar size and shape gold metal box. How many still exist? Nobody knows, there have only been several documented. However, this one is all original, and was signed some time ago by Hurst himself when I had the opportunity. This is the most collectible guitar pedal ever made.
