What was refurbished on this guitar: When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issue found by the authorized refurbisher was that it was missing the stock Epiphone Maestro-style tailpiece. The refurbisher installed a replacement Maestro-style tailpiece, which is exactly the same as the stock version, with the exception of the "Epiphone" engraving across the plate. No other repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. Aside from the replacement tailpiece, it looks and plays like new.
