Taylor Trumpet Chicago Standard II

Taylor Chicago Standard II trumpet. ML bore (.460"). It has a red brass bell and amazing Bauerfeind valves. Finish is brushed lacquer. It comes with two Taylor mouthpieces, an M (Bach 3C equiv.) and a B2, which is a custom copy of a Monette B2 mouthpiece made by Andy Taylor to fit this trumpet (new Taylor mouthpieces are £115 each). Comes with the original case that Taylors were shipped with. Also in excellent condition. Will also include a full bottle of Tromba T2 valve oil - the best oil for Bauerfeind valves.

Not sure of the exact year of manufacture, I bought it NEW (old stock) from Trevor Jones Brass, Bristol in 2014. A new Chicago Standard II would now cost £3300 from Taylor.

It is in superb condition and has had very light use.  No dents or dings - very well looked after. The only blemishes are a few very minor scratches - shown in the images, and a few areas of patination around joins, that look to be due to the way it was lacquered - again shown in photos. The lacquer is 100% though and it is otherwise in perfect condition.

It really is a beautiful sounding instrument - very mellow but brightens when you want and never gets harsh sounding. The valves are incredible - super fast and velvety. Serious potential buyers who are nearby contact me if you would like to try it before you buy it. I live in Kent, and am also in London every Tuesday and most Saturdays (at a music venue, so you can hear it at its best!).
