Here's your chance to own a piece of cult music history, Lee Mavers' Takamine EN20 acoustic guitar that he used extensively during the heyday of The La's, from 1986 to 1992.

As you can see from the body pictures, it has all the battle scars from Mavers' unique percussive playing style that you would expect.

With all the mystique/notoriety that now surrounds The La's, it's hard to fact from fiction, but, this Takamine was there being used and played most of it. :-)

The guitar still plays beautifully, and it's probably sounding better now than it ever has. It's aged well. It's one of those guitars that feels like it's playing itself.

To get into the specifics of the guitar itself;

1986 Takamine EN-20.
Solid mahogany back and sides.
Solid cedar top.
Mahogany neck.
Rosewood fingerboard.
Built in electro-preamp with gain, bass and treble.
