In an era of CNC machine built guitars, outsourcing and "custom builders" who are nothing more than parts assemblers, we stand within the small circle of luthiers still building guitars by hand. We cater to customers who recognize value comes in investing in an heirloom quality guitar that graces families, not landfills, for generations. We blend craftsmanship with classic and contemporary design to create guitars that are both functionally and aesthetically pleasing. Whether refined or rustic each Cochlea Guitar is built to invoke pride in ownership. Because the vast majority of guitars we make are built to order we offer the ability for the customer to individualize nearly every detail of the guitar. For some, pulling a machine or foreign made guitar off the wall of a big box guitar store is satisfactory. For those with more discerning tastes, we'd love to build your next guitar.
Our offerings to the Reverb community is modest as we don't built much stock that isn't customer spec, but we're trying to build a few guitars a year to list on Reverb so we can introduce a wider audience to our brand.
