About This Listing

Rare 1950s Maihak Bv-30a tube bottle microphone

Fully working, sounds absolutely terrific.
Check out the soundcloud link with some spoken word and a finished production.

Plug & Play with PSU, stand & cable.
Runs with 240V mains.

This is a close relative of Neumann's CMV3.
Used in German broadcasting right after the war, before the U47s showed up.

Peter Drefahl has fully refurbished the micophone a couple of years ago.
The unobtainium Hiller MSC2 miniature tube was replaced with an RFT AC761 if I'm not mistaken.
The mic comes with a custom built PSU by Peter Drefahl.

Please note that shipping this beast will be an endeavor.
The mic stand is integral part of the mic, it has the connector on top and the mic cable running through it.
Total weight is close to 30kg.
Please consider my postage quotes guestimates.
I will work with you to get safe packaging and shipping properly organzied.

Please understand that I won't open the mic in order not to break anything.

Hit me back with any questions..

Thanks for looking.
