The Les Paul Artist was a unique take on the classic design, employing a second Moog circuit with active electronics. It included three mini-toggle switches for compression, expansion, and brightness, allowing you to shape the guitar's tone to be more "Fender-esque" or classic Les Paul. Fireburst and Ebony finishes become optional in 1980. Less than 500 of these were made in their brief two-year production run out of Nashville.
