The Rickenbacker 360 was introduced in 1958 and underwent many cosmetic and design changes up until 1964. Similar to many Rickenbacker guitars, the 360 has been released in a number of variations over the years with changes in cosmetic details and hardware.  Also like other Rickenbackers, the notoriety of the 360 was greatly enhanced by its use by the Beatles in the mid-'60s.

Unique to this Year: The 360 underwent several changes in the body shape through the early '60s. The earliest 360s use a Capri-style shape similar to some Rickenbacker solidbodies.

Wood Composition: Maple body, three-piece Maple/Walnut neck with Rosewood fingerboard

Design Elements: Dual Toaster-style pickups, triangle inlays, gold pickguard, two volume and two tone knobs

Finish Specifications: Fireglo was a standard finish for the 360.
