Though short-lived, the S-200 Thunderbird stands as one of Guild's more recognizable solidbodies. This guitar was introduced along with the S-100 Polara in 1963 with an overall similar design and vibe. The Thunderbird included a set of four slide controls in addition to two volume and two tone knobs. Perhaps most unique of all, this guitar came with a built-in kick stand on its back.  The design changed from humbucker to single-coil pickups in 1966.
